Nissan 370Z Crowdsourced Project Car Begins – Video
The first phase of the build saw the 370Z getting a huge power boost thanks to a twin turbo kit that puts more than 500 hp on tap. A Ti-C catback exhaust system with 2.75-inch diameter piping also went into the car, allowing the engine to better use its new forced induction system.
The boost in engine performance will be backed by a set of coilovers from KW with its Variant 3 model featuring a 2-stage valve system. KW has become a very popular brand in recent years amongst enthusiasts, and the 70-percent voting proved just that for the 370Z project. Lastly, Nissan upgraded the brakes on its 370Z.
This is just the beginning of the project car and we’ll keep an eye out as Nissan will undoubtedly focus on the project’s aerodynamics and interior next as they strive to build a great track car thanks to the feedback of its fans.
Nissan doesn’t know how to be boring. Through the years, the company has managed to churn out model after stylish model. While basically all Nissan models are built for performance and efficiency, that hasn’t stopped droves of drivers from turning around and injecting their own brand of fashion into the equation. Whether it’s for eye-catching looks or for a modicum of aerodynamic assistance when burning it up on the blacktop, Nissan Spoilers have been a favorite custom weapon for almost two decades. We know that when you are on the hunt for your very own sizzling piece to lock onto your vehicle frontline quality is the main issue. At CARiD.com, nothing is more important.

Your Nissan explodes through the landscape once you decide it’s time to push the limits…
The 370Z promises to become one of Nissan’s most cherished models. The sleek contours along with the aggressive, Euro-influenced body-style mingle in perfectly with the raw power that opens up on the blacktop. When an added punch is needed for this package, you can’t do better than going with a Nissan 370Z Spoiler. 2012 Nissan GT-R

Back when the
Nissan GT-R was first unveiled in late 2007, chief engineer Kazutoshi Mizuno said that not only had he built an "everyday supercar" that could jump to 60mph in 3.5 seconds and circle the Nurburgring in 7 minutes 38 seconds, but that he would continue to develop the car and announce new revisions every year. Well, Mizuno-san has been hard at work to make the latest version of Godzilla -- though called a 2012 in Japan, it will be called a 2013 once it hits our shores early next year -- even better. Not only did it reach 60 mph in 2.7 seconds in Nissan's testing, but it made the sprint through the quarter mile in 10.8 seconds, a full 0.4 seconds faster than the 2012 model we tested in February, using 100 RON octane gas (96 octane using the U.S.' AKI ratings).
How is the the 2013 Nissan GT-R so quick? Partially thanks to the addition of even more power. The engine now generates 545 horsepower and 463 lb-ft of torque -- both going up by 15 from the 2012's 530 and 448 -- and produces beefier top end torque response right up to the 7000rpm redline. The 2013 revision also incorporates more efficient cooling ducts for the front brakes, slip-resistant seats, and a Track-Pack option that shaves over 200 pound in weight. Mizuno also stressed that his car generates these neck-snapping numbers by using an even leaner mixture of fuel than before.

Nissan News

Nissan has released the first images of its new B-segment concept car, the Invitation. Set to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor show next month, the car previews a new model that will sit between the Micra and Juke as the company returns to the traditional hatchback market.
The Invitation's DRG features a wide grille with a chrome accent that extends into the lamps, reminiscent of the Quest MPV. In profile its four-light DLO visually stretches the car's upper body as it extends to the centerline of each axle. Its lower body features large wheelarch flats which increase in radius and spill onto the door surface, where they interact with a character line that Nissan refers to as the ‘Squash Line', last seen on its Pivo 3 concept.
Inside, the extensive glasshouse is combined with white seat fabric giving a heightened feeling of space. The IP features multiple detail lines that run into the door cards and frame the central, digital stack that houses infotainment and climate controls. A circular pattern motif is repeated through the IP, from the pronounced dials to the large HVAC control.

2012 Nissan Leaf

2012 Nissan Leaf Review. Certain cars can’t accurately be judged on a choreographed press junket. Take a minivan for instance. To properly evaluate such a vehicle requires a road trip with a spouse and kids.  Likewise, an electric car must be lived with in order to be judged.  That said, I recently borrowed a Nissan Leaf for three days and set out to use it just as I would with any conventional internal combustion engine vehicle. That may sound simple enough for an urbanite, those for whom six miles is considered a commute, but for me it’s an 80 mile round trip.
And while Nissan may claim 100 miles as an EPA-rated ranged, they’ll also admit that the real-world distance is closer to 70 – just shy of the range I’d need to travel back and forth from work. LEAF DOESN’T MEET “JUST IN CASE” CRITERIA
Understandably, almost no one in my situation would seriously look at purchasing an electric car with such a limited range. But being the curious sort, I wanted to know: How far has the technology come and could an electric car work for someone like me?
After all, most Americans buy cars for the just in case factor. As in, it has all-wheel drive just in case it snows, or it as a third row just in case they need to drive their kids and their kids’ friends to the mall. In short, these features are no different than a 400-hp V8 in a Mustang. It may only be used once a week, or even less, but that’s the reason they bought the car.For the American car buyer, a 300-mile range and the ability to double it with a quick stop at a gas station has become the norm, and in order to achieve mainstream acceptance, EVs need to do the same.
An official product launch with such a car would have carefully planned routes with chase cars should I get stranded and a long list of phone numbers of PR folks to assist me should I get lost. Not this time. Upon picking up the car I was given a special trickle charger that plugs into a conventional 120-volt household outlet, as well as a phone number of an emergency towing company.
Treat your vehicle with respect, and do not neglect its cargo area. After all, it's one of those areas that suffer a lot of abuse. Every time when you throw in your gulf clubs or your toolbox, pile groceries or take your beloved pet on a trip, you risk to seriously damage the cargo area carpeting. Stains, rips, debris, and mud don't go well with the factory floor carpeting, and you don't have to tolerate all that. In our extensive selection of cargo liners you'll easily find the product that will suit you needs. Need proofs? Read over 10 cargo liners and trunk mats reviews with an average rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars, and choose the level of protection that is perfect for your vehicle. 2013 Nissan Pathfinder

2013 Nissan Pathfinder engine confirmed, big deal debuting in Big Apple.
There is a lot to like about the Pathfinder Concept Nissan unveiled at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show. The thinly disguised showcar foregoes the body-on-frame construction of the current Pathfinder for a weight savings of about 500 pounds. Nissan also promises fuel economy improvement of about 25 percent with the production model, which would be no small feat.
Motor Trend reports that Nissan has confirmed that the 2013 Pathfinder will feature a 3.5-liter V6. That makes sense considering the Pathfinder's all-new sibling, the Infiniti JX35, will also feature the same V6. Nissan has yet to divulge any details about the Pathfinder mill, but we do know that the JX35 will boast 265 horsepower and 248 pound-feet of torque. Nissan has also apparently told MT that it has big plans for April's New York Auto Show. Nissan will reportedly unveil a completely vehicle at the show that has never been seen by outsiders. Us? We're not sure, but our best guess is it'll be the 2013 Altima.

2012 Nissan Armada

The 2012 Nissan Armada ranks 7 out of 7 Affordable Large SUVs. This ranking is based on our analysis of 57 published reviews and test drives of the Nissan Armada, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.
Though the 2012 Nissan Armada is a good SUV for hauling people and towing boats or trailers, reviewers say its competitors are better in most ways.
The 2012 Nissan Armada performs fairly well for an affordable large SUV. Its V8 engine has a decent amount of get-up-and-go, and it can tow almost as much as class leaders. It offers lots of cargo space, and test drivers say that for a vehicle this big, it’s light on its feet. So why doesn’t the Armada rank better in its class?
Reviewers say the Armada doesn’t seem quite so good when compared with its competition. Other SUVs can tow more and offer better power and acceleration. The Nissan Armada’s interior is made with some cheap-feeling materials and confusing controls, while others in the class have nicer cabins with roomier third rows. Plus, the Armada’s fuel economy is dismal, even for a truck-based SUV.
Though the large SUV class is dwindling, there are still a few shoppers left who need what the Armada has: brawny, all-weather performance, good towing capabilities and a rugged, utilitarian interior. But many buyers just need all-wheel drive and seven or eight seats. These shoppers would likely be better served by nearly any other SUV on the market.
One of the most notable things about Nissan is that most of the models on its roster are well-known for being customizing canvases that drivers love to play around with.
